The Boy Scouts of Troop 1393 Invite your sons
to join Boy Scouting
Boy Scouting is for boys from 10 to18. It provides fun, excitement and outdoor opportunity. The program is designed to develop family and community relationships.
Boy Scouting is designed to help the boys develop into productive young men. Boy Scouting is about “doing your best” and “finishing the race” rather than always winning, and is about helping others.
Troop 1393 is fortunate to have over 2 centuries of experience among the leadership, and includes many Eagle Scouts as leaders. The leadership is responsible to provide positive role models, examples of good character, and is pleased to give back to the youth what we have been fortunate to obtain in our experiences.
Troop 1393 activities from the past and planned for the future include:
- Summer camp
- Youghiogheny and Clarion River Canoeing
- Laurel Highlands Backpacking, Laurel Caverns Caving
- Philmont Trek in New Mexico, Sea Base in Florida
- Boundary Waters in Canada, National Jamborees in Virginia
- Bowlathon
- Camping, fishing, shooting
- Sailing, skiing, mountain climbing, rapelling
- Super Troopers to Niagara Falls, Washington DC, Gettysburg, Wright Pat AFB, Battleship NJ
- Pool parties, games night, mini-golf, field trips, pinewood derby, BMX,
